Luna, a psychic New Hampshire witch, sees that historian Joe Hillery will locate an enchanted ring that has been lost for centuries. When the high priest of her coven learns of this revelation, he orders the young witches to do whatever it takes to keep Joe close so they may obtain the jewel. Megan O’Leary’s love spell, with a powerful booster, is the one that succeeds. Reasoning that the ring should be hers, since she is the descendant of the witch who last owned it, Megan decides to betray the coven by keeping the ring’s powers for herself. Megan not only destroys Joe’s marriage in the process, but also causes her coven of powerful witches to seek revenge against her.
Brad Heins, Joe’s parapsychologist friend, has come into Willstown on Joe’s wife’s behalf. After investigating, Brad is suspicious that Joe may be the victim of a love spell, and Joe becomes suspicious of Brad, who has been living in his home with his wife since he moved in with Megan.
