About The Author
In 2006, after a short season of life changing events, Mary reinvented herself. She took a seven month hiatus from an otherwise ordinary existence, living in a small camper in the woods, learning how to survive in the ‘edible forest’, taking up the flute, getting into great physical shape and finally accomplishing her lifelong ambition of writing novels and short stories.
During that time, she also got the opportunity to travel across Canada. On one trip she met and fell in love with an extraordinarily talented Elvis Tribute Artist. Within a few months she had moved her few belongings 2,000 kilometers from Manitoba to Ontario, Canada, where today she accompanies John onstage as his assistant and serves as his promotional manager.
She continues to pursue new adventures and to follow her dreams.
Buddy wants to be a star in the world of Elvis impersonators, but he can’t seem to catch a break. Maybe a union is the answer?
Follow the trials and tribulations of being an “Elvis" - the preparation, the shows, the competitions and the relationships formed by the men (and women) of this unique society.
